CLARA is thankful for our friends and partners here in the valley and beyond. Thank you for your support!
We would like to thank the Central Colorado Humanists for their grant to Chaffee County 4-H for use in ham radio/electricity workshops. This grant makes it possible for CLARA 4-H volunteers who teach these workshops to acquire electronics components, tools, radio transmitter equipment, and to pay for online ham radio license courses for 4-H youth.

We would like to thank the National Association for Amateur Radio (ARRL) for their grant to the Chaffee-Lake Amateur Radio Association (CLARA) which will be used by CLARA volunteers to purchase electronic test equipment and tools for the 4-H ham radio/electricity workshops. Equipment will include an oscilloscope/signal generator, power supplies, multimeter, and soldering irons.

The Chaffee Lake Amateur Radio Association is proud to announce a partnership with Monarch Mountain at The Crest, offering all licensed amateur radio operators a discount on scenic tram tickets! This partnership makes activating South Monarch Ridge (a six-point SOTA summit) even more fun while also making the summit more accessible by way of the scenic tramway, which is celebrating 60 years of operation in 2026. Come enjoy this unique SOTA experience!

Bring a copy of your license and receive a discounted tram ticket for you and a plus one! (You MUST show a copy of your license to receive a discount. ALL licensed amateur operators are welcome!)
